Does power washing damage the wood?

NO - not when you follow approved products and procedures. We follow the guidelines set forth by Power Washers Association of North America. We are certified by PWNA, beware of the $99.00 dollar guys. An inexperienced service can damage your deck. We have 28 years of experience.

Are the cleaning products you use safe?

YES - They are 100% biodegradable and environmentally safe.

How many coats of sealer do you apply?

Everything gets one good coat brushed on and the floor and flats will get two coats also brushed on. Most of my competitors will quote you one coat and charge you for two.

Do you offer a warranty?

We offer a 1 year warranty on most standard deck restoration. Most of your horizontals generally will weather for 1-2 years, most vertical surfaces will weather for 3-4 years.

How do you apply your sealer?

Great question, we brush all of our decks, steps and rails You get contact, control and penetration of the oils and resins deep into the fibers of the wood. Most of my competitors wilt spray your deck exposing your brick, siding, windows and vegetation to contamination. Spraying doesn’t work, you don’t spray on hand lotion to your hands, no you work it in.

Do you sand decks?

YES - We have 4 walk behind sanders but most decks do not need it.

How long will the power wash and seal take?

Generally 3-5 days with good weather.

Will I need to remove and replace my furniture and grill?

We ask that you remove everything from your deck and replace it when the deck is dry. Although we can help remove items from the deck when we begin working, there would be an additional charge for us to return once we have finished the job to replace items.

If I have a few boards replace, will the new wood match my deck?

NO - It may take several seasons for the new wood to weather in. Some of my competitors use “cull wood”. Cull wood is boards that have been left in the yard too long and has weathered to gray. Lumber yards will sell cull wood at a discount. This is not what you want on your deck.

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

NO - Decks come in all different sizes with their own unique circumstances. All estimates are free and you don’t have to be home to get one. We can come out and leave you with an estimate and some information about your job.

Do you build decks from ground up?

YES We build new decks and we replace any existing decks from wood to composite.

Can you remove paint or solid coating?

NO - We can not completely remove those coatings. There are no products that will break down the solid coating. There is no warranty on painted surfaces due to the failure rate of a “solid” coating.
